About the Outdoor Inn

The Outdoor Inn, formally known as the Tarry Motel, is owned and operated (as of August 2006) by Rick and Karen Delamater. We have 11 units and are located ¼ mile south of Baldwin on the east side of M-37 near the Pere Marquette River. Click here for directions to the Outdoor Inn.

Surrounded by more than a quarter of a million acres of the Manistee National Forest, the OUTDOOR INN is located in Lake County, boasting 156 lakes, 46 trout streams, four major rivers, including the world renowned Pere Marquette River, a national scenic & wildlife river.

The Outdoor Inn is open year round. We cater to outdoor enthusiasts… as Northern Michigan offers ample opportunities for fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling and dog sledding. Our grounds contain a large paved parking lot with auxiliary lot for trailers.
